Trainig Needs Analysis
Working with our client, we undertake a detailed Training Needs Analysis . This will identify the true training requirement before the design work begins. Through this
process various tools are employed, such as scoping exercises, stakeholder engagement, audience analysis, skill gap analysis and task review. Finally, we will define
the training outcomes, constraints, and delivery options from which the design of the training material will be based. We will ensure that the proposed training solution
is practical, proportionate, and aligned to organisational need.
Scoping Exercise
Defines the scale, purpose, audience
constraints, risks, resources, and expected
outcomes of the training requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement
Works with key personnel, subject matter
experts, and decision makers to capture the
requirement accurately and agree priorities.
Audience & Learner Analysis
Looks at the learner group, existing knowledge,
experience levels, role requirements, learning
barriers, and support needs.
Task & Role Analysis
Breaks down the job, task or process
being trained to identify what learners must
know, do, and demonstrate.
Skills Gap Analysis
Compares current capability against the
required standard to identify knowledge,
skill, or performance gaps.
Training Options Analysis
Considers the best method of delivery, such as
classroom, practical, blended, digital, workplace
based, or Computer Based Training (CBT).
Cost Benefit Analysis
Assess whether the proposed training
solution is proportionate, affordable,
achievable and worth the investment.
Constraints, Risks &
Resource Analysis
Identifies limitations such as time,
equipment, facilities, staff availability,
safety, access, and delivery risks.
Success Measures
Defines how training effectiveness will be
measured, including performance outcomes,
assessment requirements, and evaluation points.
