TMS staff were delighted to be able to support both Ark Animal Rescue and Arthritis Research UK as their charities of choice for 2018. Throughout the year staff raised money by putting their baking skills to the test with numerous ‘Bake Offs’, a Christmas Raffle and selling off equipment such as mobile phones. Theresa Cannon, TMS’s Owner Director said, “Once again our staff have raised a magnificent amount of money and we are delighted to be able to support both a local and a national charity.” A cheque to the value of £500.00 was presented to the Ark’s assistant manager, Laura Wootton. The Ark has recently been in the headlines after being issued with a noise abatement order from the council. The shelter is therefore in much need of further funding to try and soundproof their kennels. Theresa added, “It was interesting to see the wonderful work being done by the Ark. Even in the extreme cold volunteers were hustling and bustling about, caring for the animals’ needs. They do such vital work and deserve as much support as possible.” A further £500.00 was sent to Arthritis Research. Theresa explained why the company chose to support Arthritis Research UK; ”Ten million people in the UK are suffering from Arthritis and many staff at TMS have seen the devastating effect the disease can have on a person’s quality of life. We really hope that our donation can contribute to the research in to finding a cure.”
